In its 23nd year, Senior Fest connects seniors and caregivers to resources and vital services to help them age in place in the community and maintain independence.

More than 60 businesses and agencies will be on hand offering a wide range of resources. Senior Fest is a one-stop-shop for services where people can talk to professionals one on one in person. It is the largest senior outreach of its type in Northern Nevada where people can also receive health screenings that include hearing, vision, spine and dental as well as flu shots, blood pressure checks, Medicare and VA benefits information.

Other on site resources include health insurance counseling, information about assisted and independent living, assistive technology, park and recreation programs, Washoe County Senior Services, AARP advocacy as well as numerous organizations that provide a variety of services for aging adults in the Truckee Meadows. It’s not all business though, the event will feature live music by Krystal McMullen and Erika Paul and the Swingin’ Jazz Kats, as well as a midday treat provided by the Eldorado Hotel Casino and the cast of Cirque Paris – appearing now in the Eldorado showroom.

Parking is available at the Reno Town Mall and the Atlantis Resort parking lot, with shuttle service provided by Lakeside Manor, with escort from Gerontology students at the Sanford Center for Aging.
